Partner Libraries.

Columbia County is one of just a few counties in Pennsylvania that has not yet developed a cooperative library system, but several partner libraries have come together to try to change that! In 2018, the Columbia County Traveling Library began to partner with the Orangeville Public Library to share resources. In 2022, the two libraries combined their online catalogs and formed a more formal partnership. In January 2024, the Bloomsburg Public Library joined the partnership, and the three libraries have developed a system of sharing books and online resources that allows anyone who lives, works, or goes to school in Columbia County to have free access to more than 100,000 print books, audiobooks, and DVDs as well as thousands of e-books, online magazines, online graphic novels, and online information and video resources.

Our libraries also offer community-building programming and shared spaces which improve the quality of life for thousands of people in Columbia County. Together, we offer more than 100 programs each month for people of all ages!

The money you invest in our libraries yields a great return for our county. Together, we saved Columbia County residents more than $2 million in 2024 by providing books, audiobooks, DVDs, and online library resources as a shared community resource, never mind the incredible value of FREE programs and community gathering spaces. Your support makes the magic of our libraries possible. Thank you!
